Yummy paint fumes
Over the last couple of weeks I've been slowly cleaning my office. As with all things in my life, "cleaning" is a process where before things can bet better, then need to get much, much worse. Sometime around Wednesday the mess reached something of a crescendo:
But I finally got it all cleaned up, bought some new desks, threw away a ton of shit, and even painted. I'm inhaling the fresh paint fumes even as I type this. (As you can see, I'm through my Orange phase. Now red is the new orange.)

All it needs now is something to hang on the walls...

Is that at work or at home? Looks pretty swank /envy.

That's the room where the guests sleep. I wonder if he's gotten rid of the very loud "servers" that he used to keep right by where your head would be. I seem to recall constructing elaborate sound walls out of pillows and other construction materials lying around the room :)

Then I realized that even lying less than 1 foot away from the machine, it was *still* much quiter than the machine on the other side of my room. That's when I decided to get a new machine (actually, I decided to get the new machine when a certain female walked into my room, stopped, turned to me and said "does that have to stay on?").

Wow, should I watch for you on upcoming episodes of Clean Sweep? ;)

Sorry, Nathan, there's enough context in there that I know it's you. :)

I'll move the server to the other side of the room.

I slept rather well with the white noise of the machines humming along.

What were you thinking having all that junk in your office? The after is much better. :)

Wow- Nice paint job, super clean cutting in! Cooper and Sadie were wondering if Uncle Rus wants to come and paint their playhouse... the pink and baby blue are just so 1987 Fresno. We wonder if that unnamed female lives in Solvang. Your office looks warm, cave-like and impressively grown up.

AWESOME job Rus! My room looks beautiful! Comfy, too. Thanks Sweetie.
